A Prince George slugger is being recognized for a stellar summer.
Jared Young is the Chicago Cubs’ Minor League Player of the Year, after putting up impressive numbers at age 23.
“This will help me get stronger, which I can take into next year. When you’ve got another 140 games to play in the minor leagues, it’s about just being consistent and hoping to put up another good year.”

Young batted .300, with 16 HRs & 76 RBIs, between the Single-A South Bend Cubs and Single-A Myrtle Beach Pelicans.
He will be honoured at Wrigley Field in Chicago during a pre-game ceremony on September 27th.
