Spruce Kings put the Vee in victory against Penticton

After their most disappointing effort of the season, the Prince George Spruce Kings dug deep and edged the Penticton Vees at the BCHL Showcase in Chilliwack.

Following a loss to the West Kelowna Warriors on Thursday, the Spruce Kings were one step ahead of the Vees on Friday in a 3-2 victory.

Ben Brar potted two against his former club, while Nick Poisson recorded the game-winner halfway through the third period past Penticton netminder Jack LaFontaine.

Logan Neaton made 28 saves in net for Prince George and picked up the win in goal.

The Spruce Kings improve to 5-1 and will play its next game Friday (September 28th) against the Surrey Eagles (0-5).
