Brock Boeser scored his second goal of the season 34 seconds into overtime.
The 4-2 Canucks conclude a six-game road trip Thursday in Winnipeg.
They return home to face Boston on Saturday.
Edmonton Oilers 5 Winnipeg Jets 4 (OT)
Connor McDavid scored two goals and added two assists to give him nine points in the Oilers first four games.
McDavid set a record when he factored into each of Edmonton’s first nine goals to start the season.
There are four Wednesday NHL games: Boston at Calgary, St. Louis at Montreal, NY Rangers at Washington, and NY Islanders at Anaheim.

Vancouver Giants 6 Swift Current Broncos 2
Joel Hofer made 65 saves as the 9-1-1 Giants outshot the 1-8 Broncos 71-16.
PRINCE GEORGE COUGARS:
The 4-5-0-1 Prince George Cougars play their next three games on home ice starting Sunday afternoon at 2 against the 1-8 Swift Current Broncos on Minor Sports Day.
The Broncos are on their BC Division road trip that continues tonight in Victoria and Friday in Kamloops.
Prince George is third in the BC Division, four points ahead of the 2-6-0-1 Kamloops Blazers and five in front of the 2-9 Kelowna Rockets.
PRINCE GEORGE SPRUCE KINGS:

The Prince George Spruce Kings play their next six on the road, three of them this weekend.
The 8-4-0-1 Spruce Kings visit the 10-5 Coquitlam Express Friday and Sunday and the 7-5 Langley Rivermen on Saturday.
Prince George is third in the Mainland Division, three points behind Coquitlam and seven back of Chilliwack.
CARIBOO COUGARS:

The Cariboo Cougars will play a doubleheader this weekend in Kamloops.
The 2-2-2 Major Midget Cougars visit the 4-4 Thompson Blazers Saturday (12:15 p.m.) and Sunday (11:00AM).

The game lasted five hours and 15 minutes and ended at 11:26 PM.
The best-of-seven National League Championship Series is tied 2-2 with game five this afternoon at 2 in LA.

The Red Sox lead the best-of-seven ALCS with game four tonight at 5:40 in Houston.
UNBC TIMBERWOLVES:
(Canada West Men’s Soccer)
The 5-3-5 UNBC Timberwolves will close their Canada West men’s soccer regular season with a pair of games in Abbotsford.
The Timberwolves visit the 6-6-1 Fraser Valley Cascades Friday and Saturday night at 6:30.
UNBC is third in the Pacific Division, where the top four teams make the playoffs.
Fraser Valley is holding down the fourth and final playoff spot.
The UNBC men will make the playoffs with one more win or if TRU loses one of its final three games.

The 1-8-3 UNBC women’s soccer team will host the 3-8-1 TRU Wolfpack of Kamloops Friday night at 6:30 and the 3-7-2 UBC Okanagan Heat Sunday at noon at Masich Place Stadium in their final regular season games.
The Timberwolves, who have dropped four straight, are last out of eight teams in the Pacific Division.
The top six teams advance to the post-season.
The UNBC women can only make the playoffs if they win their last two, while both TRU and UBCO lose their last two.

The BC Lions have a key Friday night West Division home game against the Edmonton Eskimos.
Both teams have 16 points, but the 8-7 Lions have a game in hand over the last place 8-8 Eskimos.
