Wet Halloween forecast not expected to dampen the spirits of PG trick-or-treaters

The Halloween forecast should be anything but spooky in Prince George, however, some trick-or-treaters might bet a tad bit wet.

A high of plus eight degrees is expected for the northern capital.

“We have some rain today, some cold rain, but it looks like it’s going to be ending close to around dinner time we’re just looking at cloudy skies and a low of minus three,” said Michel Gelinas, Environment Canada Meteorologist.

Temperatures are expected to drop as soon as the sun goes down but Gelinas isn’t expecting anything drastic.

“Temperatures could drop fairly quickly in the evening depending on whether we see any partial clearing or not, so the temperature could drop fairly quickly down towards zero. I don’t expect temperatures to be below zero in the evening but definitely low single-digits for sure.”

The rain is expected to subside by dinner time.

He expects it to be around four or five degrees by the time kids hit the streets.
