Ice Oval returns for another season

A Prince George tradition returns this weekend.

The Ice Oval, located behind the CN Centre, will open to the public for another season.

Society President Kathy Lewis says the Oval has been in operation for over 20 years and has had many different locations.

“And its natural ice, so depending on the weather is how good the ice is most of the time,” says Lewis, “we have a real dedicated group of people who have been building ice on a volunteer basis for years and we’ve got some pretty good ice makers now.”

Lewis says people can pay by using the honour system at the Ice Oval.

Its $2 a person and $5 for a family.
