The UNBC Timberwolves are off to their best start in women’s basketball since joining Canada West.
One of the reasons is the superb play of fifth-year forward Vasiliki Louka.
The six-foot-three post from Athens, Greece is the Canada West second star of the week.
She averaged 24 points, 14 rebounds and 3 1/2 assists per game in leading the 4-0 Timberwolves to a doubleheader sweep of the visiting Winnipeg Wesmen.
