Remembrance Day in Prince George

Hundreds of people filled the Civic Centre and the streets for the Prince George Remembrance Day ceremony.

The event, organized by the Prince George Legion, featured MP Todd Doherty, MLA Shirley Bond, MLA Mike Morris, Chief Dominick Fredrick, and Acting Mayor Garth Frizzell who all spoke to a full house in the Civic Centre before the parade began.

After two minutes of silence, the RCAF Hawk aircraft flew over the crowd, which was gathered at a temporary cenotaph on 7th Ave before the parade assembled along Canada Games way.

This was the 100th Anniversary of Armistice when World War 1 officially ended.
