Beef jerky pulled from shelves after needle found in product

A nasty surprise for a local man this morning as one chance purchase almost landed him in Hospital.

Hart resident Cory Siemens says he stopped in at a Hart gas station for some refreshments and lunch items which included a pack of Jack Links beef jerky, which happened to contain an item hazardous to his health:

“…Opened up the jerky and grabbed a piece and when I put it in my mouth it kinda gave me a little poke, and when I bit down it hit my teeth and gave me a little poke in the cheek and I pulled it out of my mouth and it was about an inch and a half long needle part of a syringe”

Siemens says he plans to go to the Hospital as a precautionary measure and says the company and its distributors will be notified, while all Jack Links product has been pulled from the gas station.
