Local business steps up to help families in need

A local Prince George business is rallying the troops to help out a family in need this Christmas.

Jason Doucette, the owner of Lure Me In Custom Tackles, is asking businesses and people to donate what they can to help give a family a Christmas dinner this year.

“Our little business has been around for about ten years now, and everyone in Prince George has really supported us a lot, so we just wanted to give back and help someone who can’t help themselves this Christmas.”

Doucette said they’ll like to help out more than one family if they can get the support. So far they’ve raised $225.00 in cash and multiple local businesses have also stepped up to help with gift certificates.

“We’ve been wanting to do this for quite a long time, and we decided this year was the year.”

They have yet to decide on a family to help, but Doucette said they were considering asking for nominations over their Facebook page.
