Well over a thousand dollars was raised in day one of Vista Radio’s Community Christmas.
Toys, food, and clothes were all taken at Pine Centre Mall going to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Chair Bernie Goold says its always humbling to see so much support for Prince George’s poverty population.
“You know we say its their fourth one, but 13 years ago, three or four people from Vista Radio delivered three trucks of groceries, and that was the beginning” says Goold, “and you’ve played such an active role in encouraging the community to give them that opportunity.”
Goold says this month alone they are expecting to serve 90,000 meals from their drop-in centre.
You can donate items and money all this week at Pine Centre Mall’s front entrance and food court.
