Warmer temperatures can be attributed to coastal storms

Well today’s weather has certainly been somewhat of an anomaly for this time of year, after all 9 degrees in December is warm by Prince George standards.

That said, Environment Canada’s Doug Lundquist says the storms along the BC coast have brought temperatures as warm as 17 degrees in places down South like Abbotsford:

“You know the thing about it, is that whole system is affecting even Prince George and even though there is a cold front coming through its not really very cold, its a little colder than that 17 degrees as it goes through. So for us in the central interior, the wind that we have [and] the temperature in the 9-10 degree range is all a result of the same system”

Lundquist says we can expect this warm trend to continue for the next few days, while Friday sees a good chance of a temperature drop with more arctic air moving in from the North.

Something going on in the Prince George area you think people should know about?
