Second weekend for Operation Red Nose

It is the second weekend of the year for Operation Red Nose, delivering safe rides home for party goers.

There will be 14 teams available Friday night and another 18 Saturday. They will be available from 9pm to 3am by calling 250-962-7433. Clients must have a vehicle with valid BC license plates.

All donations go towards local youth and amateur sport organizations.

A total of 214 have signed up to volunteer so far this year including 47 first-timers. Despite this, 36 more are needed for New Year’s Eve.

The second weekend last year saw Operation Red Nose deliver 156 rides home. The all-time high for this weekend was in 2014 when 243 rides were delivered.
