PacificSport Northern BC gave the City an annual update this week, providing Council with an overview of its activities.
The group says it’s the sole provider of high-performance services across the north.
Executive Director Leslie Ann Wirth says the group had a great year and is hoping to expand in the future.
“[We’re] really trying to offer high-quality services throughout Northern BC to unprecedented levels into a much higher number of people to increase the physical activity levels of people across the north and provide services to athletes who are on a performance pathway,” she says.
The group was also the 2015 Canada Winter Games Legacy funds recipient.
