WATCH: MNP Torch Relay reaches Prince George

WATCH:

The MNP Torch Relay stopped in Prince George, the home of the 2015 Canada Winter Games.

12 people carried the torch through downtown including elected officials, volunteers, and PG figure skater Justin Hampole.

“It was really an opportunity for us to use that as a stepping stone. The games put us on the national stage and people recognized and saw what we were able to do so as a result of that, we were able to go after national and international events and the Paranordic Games coming here in 2019 are an example of that.”

– Prince George Mayor Lyn Hall

The torch now heads to Alberta and the home of the 2019 Canada Winter Games in Red Deer.
