Cullen expresses concern over TPP

NDP MP Nathan Cullen expressed his recent view about the Federal Liberals agreeing to the TPP.

The Trans-Pacific Partnership is a free-trade agreement among 12 different countries.

Cullen says it could cost up to 60,000 Canadian jobs, and he wants to see an economic impact study.

“You have very strong business voices like Jim Balsillie in Blackberry saying this is a terrible for an industry like high tech, you have dairy producers suggesting this is going to be hugely detrimental, and the government taking about compensating them for billions of dollars,” he says.

Chile, New Zealand, Australia, and the US were among some of the others on board.
