Plane circling PG part of military exercise

Don’t panic, Prince George!

If you’ve noticed an orange and yellow plane circling downtown or over the Fraser and Nechako Rivers, you’re not alone.

The PG Airport has confirmed to My PG Now that this is a military aircraft taking part in a parachuting exercise.

Several members have jumped from the plane and have grabbed the attention of local residents this afternoon.

The public is not at risk according to a YXS spokesperson as this is routine training for personnel.

They add they’re simply taking advantage of the spring-like weather conditions, but there’s no word at this time if more training is scheduled for the week.
