Celebrate Prince George on Family Day

Family’s can enjoy their day together by partaking in some “Celebrate Prince George” Winter Festival events Monday..

The City, Tourism PG, and others are hosting activities to remember the one year anniversary of the Canada Winter Games.

Civic Events coordinator Jan Tkachuk says she’s excited to have so much going in the city.

“This is just really just a great way to celebrate the fact that we hosted a really successful Canada Winter Games in 2015, one year ago, as well as a chance for us to really celebrate the volunteers that made that possible,” she says.

Monday’s events include:
9 AM – 3 PM Otway Nordic Center: Family Day Fun
9 AM – 4 PM Ness Lake Bible Camp: Free Family Day Event
10 AM – 4 PM Northern Sport Centre; Free Family Day Event
1 PM – 3 PM Public Library – Bob Harkins Branch: 100 Iconic PG People, Places, and Objects
1 PM – 3 PM 18th Avenue & Foothills: Easy Snowshoe
5:30 PM – 6:30 PM The Movement Group Fitness Mecca: Free Group Power Class (ages 13+)
7 PM Exploration Place Chinese New Year Fireworks

Attendees are all recommended to wear their green volunteer games gear.
