Break & Enter leads to jail time for PG man

A 43-year-old Prince George man has been sentenced to 118 days in jail and one-year probation following a break in.

Robert Richard Prettie, who is well known to police, pled guilty to Break & Enter on Monday. He had also been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 and Mischief under $5,000.

Shortly after 11 pm on Sunday, December 16th, PG RCMP received a report of a Break & Enter in progress at a commercial business on the 400 block of Queensway.

Police attended the scene where one man was found entering the business. There they discovered a car mirror was broken off and used to smash a window to the business and clothing items were stolen. Prettie was arrested a short time later wearing clothes from the business.
