Local boutique looking for artists to paint mural

A new local boutique is looking for artists to help decorate their outside wall.

The Thrifty Friends Boutique in Prince George has a vacant wall on their building in the Bowl area, which they’d like to become a part of Prince George’s mural history.

Margaret Jackson, Vice President of the thrifty Friends Society, said they do have a lot of preparation to do before anyone paints the wall, but they’re calling on artists now to see what they can come up with.

“We know we have a multicultural group of artists here that have creative minds, and the city has come on board with a special enhancement grant to get us started,” said Jackson.

The area is approximately 58 ft X 39 ft, and will be prepped for the painters.

Artists who would like to participate are asked to meet at Thrifty Friends Boutique, at 2930 5th Ave, on January 17th at either 1:00 or 5:00pm.
