Ford F-series thefts on the rise: PG RCMP

There have been 14 Ford F-series trucks, mostly ranging from model year 1995 to 2008, reported stolen to Prince George RCMP from December 1st to 18th.

One was found at about 1:30 p.m. Monday when a member of the General Duty Section found an F-250 matching the description of one that was recently reported. The license plate was checked and the truck was confirmed to be stolen along Ospika Boulevard on December 16th.

The lone male occupant was arrested on the 2100 block of Quince Street without incident. Raymond Jarrod Pruden-Collins was also found to be in possession on several knives of various sizes, a small quantity of heroin, and drug paraphernalia.

“It’s a warning to the public and anyone who owns one of those vehicles to use an immobilizer or some sort of security device to help prevent their vehicle from being stolen,” said RCMP Corporal Craig Douglass.

Pruden-Collins was charged with two counts each of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 and Failing to Comply with Undertaking. He attended court Tuesday and pled guilty to one count of each. His sentence sees him face 87 days in jail and one-year probation for the first charge and 30 days in prison for the second. The sentences will be served concurrently.
