The 32nd annual Prince George Iceman race went ahead today but was delayed an hour (to 11 a.m.).
There was concern about the cold weather canceling the event, but organizers decided to go ahead.
Organizer Jim Van Bakel said it is going to be a busy day.
“The weather changes every year, its either too warm or too cold, so there’s always some weather concerns,” said Bakel.
Bakel said 534 people are participating in this year’s race which is even with last years number of participants.
The four-part race will start with an 8 km ski and finish with a 5 km swim at the PG Aquatic Centre.
