Polaris Montessori School evacuated

Prince George RCMP have received information about threats directed at Polaris Montessori School in the city.

Although there has not been a specific threat to any one individual, as a precautionary measure, School District 57 decided to evacuate the school after a recommendation from police.

In keeping with the school protocol, students will be bussed to College Heights Elementary school.

RCMP on scene say they are “looking into a situation,” but are unable to give any more information at this time.

Police ask that parents not attend Polaris Montessori School.

Parents will be contacted by school staff to make arrangements for pick up

As this is a stressful situation for all involved, police wish to remind everyone to be mindful of your driving and obey all the rules of the road, especially in and around the school zones.
