Power restored north of Nechako River

B.C. Hydro responded to a power outage north of the Nechako River in Prince George.

According to BC Hydro, power had been restored to those impacted at approximately 11 a.m.

It was reported that 5,050 customers were originally affected by the outage.

It was said to be related to the snowfall Prince George has been receiving Monday morning.

“Usually, on a day when we have heavy snow, somewhere around the region we might see issues related to trees contacting powerlines,” Gammers told MyPGNow.

More information regarding the outage can be found on the B.C. Hydro website.

Information in this article will be updated as it becomes available.
