YMCA of Northern BC reveals Donor Wall

It truly is fun to stay at the YMCA.

On Friday, March 16, the YMCA of Northern BC revealed their 2018 donors and partners on their Donor Wall.

The event was a way to spread the word of their Strong Kids Campaign, while also revealing their campaign total thus far after a number of key fundraisers have already taken place in 2019.

The YMCA  is well on its way of reaching this year’s goal of raising $60,000.

If they are able to achieve that goal, they aim to support 250 children and youth in participating in YMCA camps and programs as part of their Strong Kids Campaign.

As the statistics stand, one in every five children requires financial assistance to participate in YMCA Camps and Programs.

The campaign began strongly through donations from every member of the board of directors, as well as the commitment from many staff members to payroll deductions and donations toward the goal. Public donations to the Strong Kids Campaign have been rolling in steadily, in addition to the Boogie with the Stars and YMCA Megathon.

Boogie with the Stars brought in $10,000 and YMCA Megathon surpassed its goal, raising over $12,000.
