Prince George Fire Crews were kept busy Saturday evening with two fires.
The first one occurred at 8:30 pm on the 1600 block of Queensway Street.
Three halls responded to find smoke coming from the ground floor suites with the fire in one, but the entire building sustained smoke damage.
The 27 tenants in the building got out safely, and have been taken into the City’s Emergency Social Services care.
Investigators will be on scene this morning.
The second fire happened at 12:30 on the 2200 block of Redwood Street.
Crews found smoke coming from a basement suite in a three storey town-house and the fire was knocked down quickly as it was confined to the kitchen.
No injuries were reported and damage and a cause is being assessed.
