Canada North Resources Expo to kickoff tomorrow at CN Centre

Over 8,000 people are expected to attend the Canada North Resources Expo being held at CN Centre.

It takes place tomorrow and Saturday and all the big name companies within the north’s resource sector are expected to attend including Finning Canada, Brandt Tractor and James Western Star just to name a few.

Marketing & Operations Manager Moira Pellerine told MYPGNOW the event is a major networking opportunity for everyone that attends.

“It’s kind of the big one in the north, which is why it is important to have it every couple of years so it does cover forestry projects, infrastructure, the heavy construction, things like that and pipelines are so new. The type of equipment we have on site are being used for these jobs.”

“You’ll see lots of truck and trailers, backhoes, excavators – all of that as well as the accessories and the attachments as well.”

On Saturday children can join their parents for the price of one for Family Day.

The 2019 Interior Safety Conference will be held in conjunction with the show on Friday.

The conference will talk about how to manage fatigue, dealing with marijuana in the workplace, human factors, and workplace injury prevention using physiotherapy.

The show runs from 9am to 5pm each day.
