Traffic signals are now being installed at the intersection of Ospika and 22nd Avenue.
According to the City of Prince George, construction is to begin today and should wrap up by mid-August.
The improvements are expected to provide safer pedestrian access across Ospika and enhanced intersection safety.
The new signals will operate much like the ones installed at Ospika and Ferry in 2017.
Left-turn lanes will also be added to 22nd Avenue in both directions.
During construction, Ospika Boulevard will be reduced to single-lane traffic while 22nd Avenue may also experience this and full closures.
