Monday weather update: showers expected to ease up later in the day

Don’t let the rain ruin your Canada Day.

Environment Canada Meteorologist, Jonathan Bau said showers and thunderstorms are expected throughout the day moving northwest towards the Bulkley Valley.

“Winds are moving northwest 20 to 30 km an hour and they will become light this evening,” Bau said.

Prince George is looking at a high of 27 with a low of 11 degrees.

The showers will be a thing of the past come Tuesday with a high of 24 and a low of 8 degrees.

“Wednesday onwards things start to become a little more unsettled. We do have kind of an upper low moving into the central interior.”
