PG Summerfest features some tasty treats

This year’s Downtown Prince George Summerfest is going to have a variety of delicious treats.

Downtown Prince George Executive Director, Colleen Van Mook said there will be a mix of vendors, both new and old at the event.

“Right now 26 restaurants we have everything from mini donuts to butter chicken. We have got some with frozen cheesecake which I am told is to die for.”

Jeremy Jean, Owner of Smokey J’s Smoked Meats, was one of the vendors set up at a sample tasting and said this will be their first year at the festival.

“We had some amazing feedback already, they told us to come in with a dozen, they already sold to dozen so glad I came with extra.”

Summerfest will be on Sunday, July 14, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Canada Games Plaza.

The day will feature food, performers, and activities for the kids.
