RCMP say they are going door-to-door in Gillam, Manitoba, searching for the two teens from BC wanted in connection to three murders.
In an update Friday afternoon, police say they are also investigating the possibility that the two suspects may have inadvertently received help and left the area and that the two may have changed their appearances. Bryer Schmegelsky and Kam McLeod, who are 18 and 19, are charged in the murder of one man and suspected in the fatal shootings of a young couple.
Manitoba RCMP believes the pair may have altered their appearance since being caught on video surveillance in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan, back on July 21.
It is critical that all Canadians remain on the lookout for Kam McLeod & Bryer Schmegelsky. If seen, do not approach, call 911 or local police immediately. #rcmpmb https://t.co/vBjHaJbT26

According to the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, the RCMP had requested aircraft support from the Canadian Armed Forces in the search for Schmegelsky and McLeod, leading to the prompt response from the CAF.
