With a few restaurants still yet to hand in their donations, the fundraised total has yet to be announced following the 7th annual Big Brothers Big Sisters Big Squeeze event.
21 local businesses were set up on Wednesday selling lemonade from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., with 100% of the proceeds coming back to support mentoring programs here in Prince George.
Jane Gauthier, Community Development Coordinator at BBBS of Prince George, told MyPGNow that the amount fundraised is nearing their goal.
“As of right now, we are at $11,650. The goal of the event was $12,000, so we are really close to it.”
Unfortunately, Vista Radio wasn’t crowned the title of Best Tasting Lemonade.
“We actually had a tie this year,” said Gauthier. “The best tasting went to the Chamber of Commerce, and they shared that title with Blake Productions and Settings Event Design & Decor.”
