According to Assistant Fire Chief John Law, a fast attack was able to quickly knockdown and extinguish the fire; however major damage had already occurred.

Tenants from all four units were evacuated.

Two of them were taken to the hospital where they were treated for smoke inhalation.

There were no reported injuries to fire personnel.

Damage is estimated at $100,000.00.

The cause of the fire was due to cooking and is considered accidental.
