The anticipation continues to build for the World Women’s Curling Championship taking place March 14 to 22 from the CN Centre in Prince George.
During a media event today (Tuesday), the 13-team field was announced where participating countries will include:
- Canada
- United States
- Czech Republic
- Denmark
- Germany
- Russia
- Japan
- Scotland
- Sweden
- Switzerland
- South Korea
- Italy
- China
CN Centre Manager, Glen Mikkelsen told MyPGNow.com holding an event of this calibre is a major plus.
“This is a significant deal for Northern British Columbia, we hosted the Para-Nordic last year and is the second international sporting event in Prince George.”
All volunteer positions have been filled according to Mikkelsen.
He adds people are coming from all over the country to be part of this event.
“I’m surprised to learn that people from all over the country are coming, we have people from Ontario, across Alberta and throughout British Columbia making plans to join us to put on this global event in March.”
A variety of single draw tickets options are available for as low as $17.50.
For those wanting to catch more of the action, a variety of ticket packages are available for as low as $45.

Fans will get the chance to meet these athletes from all over the world during the biggest curling party in the province at the World Famous Patch, at Kin 1.
The entertainment lineup was also announced.
