While we in Prince George think we got some bad snow, Kitimat got it worse.
While specific counts are not in yet, some are saying they got as much as two metres of the white stuff.
District of Kitimat Chief Administrative Officer Ron Poole says at the snow started to fall late last week.
“Well the snow started on Thursday,” says Poole, “and it started to ease up yesterday afternoon, so we had probably two or two and a half days of steady, hard snowfall.”
Poole says removal efforts are going well at this point.
He says their biggest problems are having to go over roads more than once, and neglecting side roads.
