PG RCMP launch homicide investigation after stabbing at courthouse

A homicide investigation is underway from the Prince George RCMP following a downtown stabbing.

According to police, it happened just after 10 P.M. last night (Thursday) in front of the PG Courthouse where officers found a 26-year-old woman suffering from at least one stab wound.

“Members administrated first aid at the scene until paramedics were able to arrive, she was transported to the hospital for treatment and underwent treatment throughout the night but unfortunately passed away this morning as a result of the injuries she sustained,” said Craig Douglass, RCMP spokesperson to MyPGNow.com.

Douglass added this is the first confirmed homicide of 2020 in Prince George.

Police wish to speak to anyone that may have witnessed this incident or may have information.
