81 new cases of COVID-19 in BC over weekend

81 new cases have occurred provincially, as the total reaches 3,500.

There are 264 active cases, including 11 in hospital, 3 of whom are in critical care.

2 more people have died since Friday (July 24th), bringing the total to 193 people have passed away due to the virus.

Dr. Henry addressed that there as a breakout of COVID-19 at a Fraser Valley Blueberry Plant, currently there are 15 active cases due to the outbreak.

She also noted the amended order on mass gatherings, however, the limit of people that can attend a mass gathering remains at 50.

There has been one new case in Northern Health, which is related to the Haida Gwaii outbreak.

Currently, there are 14 total cases in Haida Gwaii and 13 of them are active.
