Four arrests made after motel firearm seizure

Prince George RCMP responded to a weapons-related report on Saturday morning at a motel on the 3400 block of Highway 97.

Officers and a Police Dog Service team searched the room, where they located a loaded handgun and ammunition.

All four occupants from PG cooperated with police and were taken into custody without incident.

One of the them, a 33-year-old man, was found to be wanted on previous firearms-related charges in PG dating back to last August.

A 28-year-old-female, 27-year-old-female and a 26-year-old-male were all released without charge pending further investigation.

The investigation is continuing.
