The Quesnel RCMP is looking into a report of shots being fired in the area over the weekend.
According to police, they received a call at about 9:45 pm on August 28 of a shooting incident on North Fraser Drive near Fuller Avenue.
“Witnesses observed a silver SUV leaving the area at a high rate of speed,” said Staff Sargent Richard Wessen.
“When members attended they located several spent casings on the road and the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.”
Wessen confirmed that no houses or vehicles were struck by bullets at the scene.
Anyone with any information is asked to call Quesnel RCMP.
