To allow crews to connect the new downtown pool to water and storm utilities, a section of Dominion Street will be closed to traffic this Wednesday (Sept 16).
Dominion Street will be closed to vehicle traffic between 5th Avenue and 7th Avenue, but there will continue to be sidewalk access for pedestrians.
However, the sidewalk on the west side of Dominion Street between 6th and 7th Avenue will remain closed.
The project is expected to take about two weeks to complete.
Businesses in the area, including the new Hyatt Place Hotel nearby, have been notified.
The road closure will affect the #5, #10, #15, #46, #47, and #55 bus routes, and will necessitate the temporary closure of the Dominion Street bus stop at 6th Avenue.
Riders are asked instead to board at the Downtown Exchange located at 7th Avenue and Dominion Street, near the Four Seasons Leisure Pool.
