City park facilities close due to early winter weather

The annual closure of various city park facilities has come a little earlier than usual this year.

Due to the early onset of snowy weather and cooler temperatures, a number of park facilities and amenities will remain closed for the rest of the year.

Closed facilities:

  • Masich Place Stadium, including the track
  • Vehicle access to Connaught Hill Park
  • Outdoor public washrooms at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park and Duchess Park

City sport fields are also now closed for the season, including Rotary Field.

The gates at Carrie Jane Gray Park will be closed at the end of the week.

Nechako Riverside Park remains open, but will be closed later this fall on a weather-dependent basis.

City parks and fields will be re-opened in the spring.
