Low income and vulnerable children at Prince George’s Glenview Elementary are receiving a helping hand.
Today (Monday), Enbridge announced a 85-thousand dollar contribution to assist the Beyond the Bell Program organized by the YMCA of Northern BC.
CEO, Amanda Alexander spoke with MyPGNow.com.
“So basically, anything a child would need after the school bells like homework support, ability to connect with others, physical activity, and the outcome for those children that we have seen in the three years we have been providing the program have improved their grade levels.”
“We are really excited to have Enbridge come on board and be able to ensure the program is able to continue for another three years, which is fantastic.”
She added it costs about 85-thousand dollars annually to operate the program.
