The BC Coroners Service is investigating a death at Bijoux Falls, near Mackenzie from the weekend due to an avalanche.
Just before 2 pm on Saturday, the Mackenzie RCMP was notified that two snowmobilers had been in the area and one of them was buried in the snow.
Search and Rescue was called with Avalanche trained searchers from Prince George attending the scene and as a result, Avalanche Canada was notified of the incident.
A 35-year-old man from Dawson Creek was located deceased.
The Coroners Service is conducting the investigation and is determining the facts surrounding the death.
