Prince George Fire Rescue responds to early morning motel fire

The Prince George Fire-Rescue service responded to a structure fire in a 20-unit motel at around 4:20 am today (Saturday).

Quick response to the motel located on Northwood Pulpmill Road left limited damage to one unit.

Upon arrival, nineteen firefighters found the unit up in flames.

All occupants were able to self-rescue and the City’s Emergency Support Services are working with those currently displaced.

An investigation is underway.
