Shooting victim dies

The victim of a weekend shooting in Prince George has died in hospital.

Around 10:30 Sunday morning, police were called to the area of 5th and Gillette, where the 45 year-old man was found on the ground.

This was where 5th was closed until 6 pm Sunday night while evidence was gathered.

The Serious Crimes unit has taken over the investigation and foul play is strongly suspected the Prince George RCMP’s Serious Crime Section has taken over the investigation.

Investigators are turning to the public for tips and leads into this shooting.
