The ninth annual Earth Hour gets under-way this evening from 8:30-9:30 pm.
This is where you’re asked to turn off your lights and all electronics for one hour to conserve energy.
Last year the global event in BC saw 65 megawatt hours of electricity saved.
Earth Hour originated in Sydney, Australia as a way to raise awareness around energy consumption.
