The Prince George Spruce Kings took nothing for granted in their second to last game of the BCHL Pod season.
Goals from Hunor Torzsok, Christian Buono and Kolton Cousins paced PG to a 3-0 shutout victory over the Merritt Centennials Friday evening at the Chilliwack Coliseum.

The Spruce Kings held a 2-0 edge after the first period before securing the insurance marker in the final frame.
PG outshot Merritt 33-15 overall, including a 25-12 margin over the last 40 minutes.
Jordan Fairlie picked up the easy shutout in goal for the league’s most northern franchise.
The Spruce Kings (13-5-0-1) went 1-for-7 on the power-play while the Centennials were unable to cash in on four opportunities.
Hunor Torzsok, Christian Buono, and Kolton Cousins all found the back of the net tonight, while Jordan Fairlie stopped all 15 shots he faced, earning the shutout!

Heading into their final game on Sunday, PG has a three-point edge of the Chiefs for the Chilliwack Pod crown.
The Chiefs have to win out in their final two games against Merritt (3-16-0-0) (Saturday) and PG (Sunday) in order to claim top spot.
Brandon Dent, Alex Ochitwa and Blake Astorino who are all from Prince George play for the Centennials.
