BC’s Independent Investigations Office will be looking into the actions of an officer with the Prince George RCMP.
According to police, just before 7 o’clock this morning (Monday), an officer was conducting an investigation in the area of 15th Avenue and Victoria Street.
During this time, a physical altercation occurred between the officer and a man.
From there, the officer discharged his firearm and the suspect was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police are on the scene investigating the offense of Assaulting a Police Officer with a Weapon.
