PG RCMP unit searching for outstanding community members

The three Prince George Victim service units are looking for some nominees.

They are putting out a call for the nomination of certain businesses or individuals who have made a significant contribution to the community, and have helped to positively impact the lives of youth in Prince George.

Krista Levar is an RCMP victim services coordinator, and says this years theme is “youth” and comes with three categories:

“It’s a really great opportunity to honor the good work that different people are doing in our community, and specifically this year we wanted to look at the youth themselves, so a youth who stands up and speaks up against violence. We [also] wanted to look at community volunteers who are working with youth…”

She also mentioned the final category, in which they are looking for youth service providers who go above and beyond.

Levar says nominations can come from anyone, with the deadline for nominations on April the 15th.

Submissions can be made (with a name and brief description of a nominee) via email at nkingsmith@pgnfc.com
