Nails deliberately scattered along PG streets; RCMP seeking suspects

Prince George RCMP are asking for the public’s help after receiving 3 reports in the past 6 months of nails being deliberately distributed along streets in an area near UHNBC.

The first report came in on October 21st 2014, mails had been strategically placed near vehicles parked by the intersection of 11th Ave and Laurier Cres. Further investigation found a previous history of nails being left along Edmonton Street from 10th to 13th Ave.

A second similar report came in on November 12th 2014 and a third on March 31st 2015 that saw around 20 nails removed from the street near 11th Ave and Edmonton Street.

During these cases, multiple drivers received flat tires as a result of the nails and police are asking for the public help in tracking down the culprit.

Anyone with information is urged to contact CrimeStoppers or RCMP.

Local MLAs gearing up for forum focused on business and retail crime

The three Prince George-area MLAs are gearing up to host a forum to help gain an understanding of the ongoing challenges being faced by the business community in the Northern Capital. During last week's meeting, Prince George City Council voted to support the MLAs in the venture. 

Hospice hosting watch party for Prince George episode of The Amazing Race Canada

The Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society will be hosting a watch party as Prince George is put on display for Canada to see. Earlier this year, The Amazing Race Canada filmed an episode in Prince George, which includes the local sibling team of Grace Dove and Joe Syme.
