Prince George Fire crews respond to early morning house blaze

Prince George Fire Rescue Crews responded to an early morning residential structure fire today (Tuesday).

At around 5:00, crews attended the fire on the 6000 block of Simon Fraser Drive.

Upon arrival, they saw smoke coming from the exterior and attic space of the home, and the occupants had left the building as they had been alerted by their neighbors.

The blaze caused at least $25,000 worth of damage to the home, but the fire was extinguished quickly.

There were no injuries to any of the residents or firefighters.

An investigation to determine the cause of the fire is ongoing.
